Walt (after one cancelled surgery) had his tonsils and adenoids removed on Thursday. He was amazing! He was excited to go to the hospital and once we got there he was still excited and happy. The nurse practitioner on the floor was a parent of one of walt's school friends Ava. So it was a friendly face right away. His surgery went well, but they said that is tonsils were quite large and it was a pretty invasive procedeure. When I saw him in recovery he was really sad :( Once the meds kicked in he slept awhile. Then we watched some TV and by the afternoon he was walking around a bit. He had a horrible night sleep on Thursday night. And the doctors were a little concerned so he had to stay in the hospital until 7pm on Friday. Since he has been home he has been up and down, but mostly really good. I think we might be somewhat through the worst of it, we just need to get him to keep drinking. Thanks for all of your thoughts and notes! Here is Walt on Saturday night!
