We have been talking with Todd and Paige about trying to see them and their daughter Hadley more, but life always seems to get into the way... UNTIL now...
They both took off this whole week from work, and I am off, so bob took off Th and Fr. We decided to do a little "Country Mouse, City Mouse" with them. They came into the city today and we went to the Science Center (because it was raining), Seamus for lunch and then back to our house for naps and hanging out. Tomorrow fun will ensue out in the Country...... (stay tuned, no update will come until Sat- we are having a sleep over!)

Softball with Dad
Bob plays softball on WEdnesday nights at Francis Park. We try to go when we can. Walt has been getting excited about playing baseball someday, so he was very into Dad's game today.

Walt and his BFF
Walt and Ben have been in the same class in school since they were 2. Ben turns 5 today so he can go onto Kindergarten, but Walt misses the July 31 deadline so this year they will be going separate ways. I work with Ben's mom so the kids will still see each other. Today was the first playgroup of the summer. This is the 4th year that I have organized a weekly playgroup for teacher and their kids at my school. Ben's mom brought juice boxes and doughnuts to celebrate! It was a great day. :)

Lafayette Park with Ginther Grandparents
My parents have been in town all weekend and they both had to work tomorrow, so we had a great breakfast and then headed off to "Duck" park. It was already pretty hot in the sun. But we played a little on the playground and then walked around and enjoyed the beauty of the park. The rest of day we plan to take it easy and catch up on some work around the house.

Sunday
It is suppose to get close to 100 today, so we got out early. My dad had never been to City Garden so we went there, then we went to the Ballpark Hilton where Jess and Troy have a block of rooms for their wedding. THen it was to Joanies in Soulard for lunch. WE sat outside in the shade. Walt, Bob, Ann, and Mike just left to watch Walt's hockey practice. Francine is still sleeping the kids played hard this morning.
new park: Kirkwood
The kids and I (sara) met Kara and Colin at Kirkwood Park. I have never been there and it is a really nice park with a lot of shade. We thought that the sprinkler would be on in the morning and got there at 9am. But it didn't start until 11, so we just played on the equiptment. It was great to catch up with Kara!
Tower Grove Farmer's Market and Spray Park
My parents are in town for Memorial Day weekend. The Boys (big) went golfing in Alton (and snuck in a trip to Fast Eddies) and the girls and walt were on our own for the day. We thought we would go to the Botanical gardens, but it was a special weekend so it would have cost us $52 bucks, we decided to pass since we would probalby only be there for about 1 hour. We actually decided to go to Tower Grove. They have an amazing farmers market on Saturday am. and a great splash park for the kids. We had an amzing grilled cheese with blueberries and honey, and gelato! Yum! Walt would not stay still enough for pictures.
Cards Game
Every Year my choir sings the NAtional Anthem at the ballgame. This is my 7th year at Bristol and this was our first night game. It was kind of cool. :) The kids were not so cool, they just want to play and frankly I think that baseball is not exciting enough for them. Although these pictures are very cute.

Francine and WAlt to Nanny's
Here are some pictures that Nanny took of the kids when they went down there for a weekend. Nanny has been very busy during tax season so the kids were excited to get some nanny, poppie and bruno time.
Hanging out at Ge-Ma's and Papa's
The kids had some fun on Sunday before we left outside. It was a great day in Des Moines. The kids were great again in the car. I love that they are so good on the car rides.
Katie's Wedding
A few weeks ago (too many for me to mention) one of my families closest friends got married. We took the kids to the wedding ceremony and then they stayed home for the reception. It was a lot of fun to be in Des Moines for the wedding and great to see alot of our family friends fro Des Moines.

Double Pacifiers
This morning Francine was a bit silly while I was getting her dressed. The camera's flash made her squint like that, but she was giggling and very proud of herself for this maneuver.
