My mom (Ann) was in town this week and she is coming back next week.  She is such a great help.  She and walt went to a bunch of parks, a children's concert, and the zoo.  Here are some pics she took this week and back 3 weeks ago when everyone was in town.

So our hospital St Johns partners with bellababy photography, and on Friday while we were in the hospital the photographer came and took some pictures.  Here are some of the best.  We love them!

Francine is 2 weeks old!

Bob went back to work yesterday so it has been me and the 2 kids.  So far so good.  We have gone to a park each day, we try to get out of the house early, but it is a little harder than it used to be.  Francine continues to amaze us with her sleeping.  We are so thankful that she is a good night sleeper.  She still loves all the kisses and love from her big brother.  The one picture is just too cute of Francine cuddling with her daddy.  And the other picture is from the park today, she was so sleepy that she didn't even wake up while I was changing her diaper on the picnic table!

Tonight, Walt was swimming in the family's new swimming pool (we spare no expense here in the Wichard household), and when one of is favorite jams came on, I asked him to dance "the robot" - the still photo doesn't do him justice....

it has been pretty hot here in the 'lou. I see (from all of my Today Show watching) that the entire midwest is in the middle of quite the heat wave. We have been taking advantage of our very cool pool in the backyard to help walt stay cool. Here are some pictures from last weekend. The pictures were taken my Uncle Troy and Aunt Jessica.

Life is so grand. We had family in town for the first few days and now we are on our own. Thank goodness that bob is home for a while. Francine has been sleeping really well at night, so we are actually not zombies during the day. Walt has still been such a great big brother. He wants to hold her and give her lots of kisses. Luckily she sleeps a lot, so i still have plenty of time to give walt some attention.

Here are a couple pictures that my sister took. We have a lot more to post, bob will work on that tomorrow.

So we don't really know what we're going to call Francine.  We've sometimes been calling her Frannie, and sometimes Francine, but nothing's really been "finalized".  I'm sure that over time, we'll settle on something.  Here's a picture of Walt and Francine though.

Hello World!

Hello everyone. My name is Francine Anna, and I was just born. Everything out here in the outside world is so great and new, and I'm really getting used to it. I was born at 6:23 p.m. on Thursday July 8th, I weigh 8 pounds and 6 ounces, and I am 21.5 inches long.

I've attached some pictures of myself that were taken right after I was born. If I do say so myself, I'm pretty cute....
